Insider buys
What do the disclosures show, and how late are they?

In the oven
CEO purchases, politicians' trades and fund 13Fs, each labelled with how late it was reported. A record of what was disclosed, not a list to copy.
How to read the result
Technical
Officer and director purchases are reported within about two business days. Company buybacks are a separate thing.
Plain English
When a CEO buys their own shares with their own money, you usually find out within days.
Technical
US politicians can report trades up to 45 days late. 13F filings arrive up to 45 days after quarter end and show long positions only.
Plain English
By the time you see a famous fund's trade, it may be months old and only half the picture.
A worked example
Grab's directors and officers only had to start filing these reports on 18 March 2026, so the history for Anthony Tan is short.
What it can't tell you
- Disclosures arrive late, sometimes by weeks.
- A 13F shows long positions only. Hedges and shorts are invisible.
- An insider can buy for reasons that have nothing to do with value.
